Olivetti
A series of massive intersecting and cantilevered horizontal planes were used to create a six-metre high pavilion, the scale and simple geometry of which made it highly visible against the general visual chaos of the exhibition environment.
The layout of the planes loosely defined a series of spaces for display of different product groups. Degrees of enclosure and openness were balanced to define the client’s territory whilst encouraging easy circulation across the stand. The vertical planes echoed the colours and graphics of the Olivetti product brochures. As well as providing a recognisable visual continuity, the panels served as colour coded-backdrops (with supporting graphics) for the products displayed in front of them. An eye-catching grid of machines - set into a panel at high level - created a dynamic new product presentation.
